Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) applies to children from birth to the end of the Reception year. At St Peter and St Paul children can join the Early Years the September after they are three years old and join Reception in the September after their fourth birthday.
St Peter and St Paul Early Years classes provide a happy and secure environment, with consistent routines, where the children can feel safe and explore rich and diverse learning opportunities. We aim to provide a sound foundation for lifelong learning, enabling the children to become increasingly independent and active learners for life. We look to provide play-based teaching and learning experiences, indoors and outdoors, of the highest quality to excite children about learning and help them to make progress in their skills and knowledge. We look to work in partnership with parents and carers.
