Our teachers are encouraged to inspire and innovate in all areas – so each topic, lesson and objective has its roots specifically planned and designed for our pupils.
The new curriculum introduced in September 2014 has given us the opportunity to review and adapt our curriculum maps. In addition to the core learning for English, Maths and Science, each class undertakes a thematic approach every half term. This aims to build the pupils’ skills and knowledge whilst also providing learning opportunities that are exciting and engaging.
We ensure that there is an effective balance between subjects and that we use a cross curricular approach where possible.
We are committed to providing equality of opportunity for all pupils and recognise that preparation for life in a multicultural society is relevant to all children and should permeate every aspect of the curriculum.
